Guest guest
I keep records and averages of all kinds of numbers and here is what I have been noticing about my sugar test after I eat and then after I ride my no where bike. the first number is 2 hours after I ate. the second is after I rode my bike after taking my sugar after I ate. each time I rode my bike it was for at least 30 to 45 minutes. 119 95 117 94 113 93 110 96 108 91 107 92. you can see how the bike riding lowered the after breakfast numbers in most cases from 15 to 20 points. my numbers would be higher with out the exercise. I use to believe exercise was over rated if it was like riding a no where bike or walking on a treadmill. well I was so wrong and very silly for thinking such a thought, but then I am lazy by nature. numbers like I got here is why my attitude allows me to get on my no where bike and ride my no where bike to every where! Guest guest
That is impressive. I don't know why my son will not get that nowhere and everywhere bike over here for me to use it. It is just sitting there. Guest guest
maybe he thinks like most folks think who has a exercise machine of some type in the house. I better not get rid of it, because I plan to use it some day. just as soon as I get my head set on it is when I will start. once when I went to buy a treadmill and the guy who owned the store was a fine Christian man and told me the truth of it. he said the treadmills that most folks buy on the market to day aren't made to walk on every day and they don't have a big enough molder to carry a big person like over 250. he said I needed a treadmill built to hold up my weight and even at that if I walked on it every day it would only last maybe one year if I was very lucky. he said they would cost around $4,000. like the treadmills you see in a witness center is the kind he was talking about. he said the treadmills you can buy at the package stores are used to mainly hang clothes on and for the neighbors to see. he said they fold up real pretty and are out of the way, but looking good and causing lots of interesting conversations when company is over. he said the same thing about exercise bikes. if you plan to exercise right and do it every day of your life, except when you are sick, then buy the best one you can afford that will meet your needs. It's like buying a car or a house. it may look pretty and cute to the eyes, but what kind of bones does it have? I payed $500 for my no where bike, but it's made for a big boy and it is very well build. heavy duty and it has been with me for about 6 years now. this fellow also said when any one goes to buy a piece of exercise equipment, then it best be what they will use and like using or leave the store and for get the fancy. people tie up a lot of good money in exercise equipment that never hardly gets used more then 2 or 3 times when they first bring them home. then after that it becomes a hanger for clothes or something to move when cleaning. best to go to a jym if you can afford the cost involved like transportation. they have the heavy duty equipment that will last and when it does break down, it isn't your problem to fix or replace. they even got more then one thing you may enjoy. The YMCA has a special program for us who are blind and are old to enjoy the equipment for free. all we got to do is get there, but cab fare can add up in a big hurry if you was to go 3 times a week. probably best thing to do is watch the paper in the want adds and buy a piece of exercise equipment like new for maybe one fourth of what it cost new. maybe a friend of a friend has some thing you could use? buying used in exercise equipment is most of the time a grate buy. hardly none of it is wore out because it never got used. instead of waiting on some one to bring it to you, who may not ever bring it to you, maybe finger hut? small monthly payments and you are getting grate use from it while you pay a small monthly payment. got a credit card? buy one this way and they may agree to deliver it. or just tell your son you will buy him a dinner or a case of beer to bring it to you. this will get most guy's attention! Guest guest
We used to have one when the kids were small and it just had to be thrown out because when it was in the basement it got rusty on the legs and other parts did not work any more. My father-in-law had a good bike that he got through insurance. He was kind of a big guy, about 240 when he was working. He passed away at the age of 82 in 2007 and the bike is over there. I could really use it over here. He has to borrow a truk to get it over here I guess. Guest guest
all you got to do, is go over there and then ride it back home. a no where bike can take you many places. tell your son he has to come get you and take you home with him so you can ride the bike. after doing this a few times, he will be more then glad to bring you the bike. I bet you can find some one with a truck and offer them a nice twenty dollar bill to go get it for you. any bike that works at all is worth twenty bucks. Guest guest
That is a good idea and I would be willing to give someone that and it would be no problem. It is just that 's mother does not hear any more well, barely if her hearing aid is working. So she would probably not hear them knocking at the door. So it is better if it is someone she is familiar with like our son and his friend. I will ask again.
