Four North Carolina parents of children with disabilities are taking action! They want respectful People First language adopted by every organization in their community. With their passion and armed with a free booklet from the Council, they are getting speaking invitations from a wide range of groups. On May 5, from 7 to 8 p.m., these parents will give tips on how you can help by talking to community and professional groups about using People First language. The key reference booklet is "We have not met just yet,, but I am your neighbor." It is available on the Council's website (www.nccdd.org) and available at no charge by request. The 25 minute presentation will give ample time for questions. Please join the webinar. Register below and you will be sent a link to the webinar. All you need is a computer, an hour of your time and a desire to make a difference! Hope you can join us.
