Guest guest
As I mentioned in an earlier email, there would be more coming. The House and Senate conference committees have met and they cannot agree on APD funding, so it is being sent upstairs. The deficit for 2011-2012 is $110 million dollars. If we do not get the leadership to Fully fund APD's deficit, there will be more cuts than what Governor implemented and reversed a couple weeks ago. PLEASE contact the 4 people below IMMEDIATELY and say the following: Please fully fund APD's deficit. Punishing APD for the deficit only means the people they serve (the most vulnerable in our society) will have less services. Please don't stop halfway. You were able to help reverse the cuts that Governor implemented earlier this month and we thank you. By not funding the deficit, it will be worse. Group homes will close, people will be placed in institutions and more. Rep. Grimsley House Appropriations Committee Chair denise.grimsley@... Rep Dean Cannon House Speaker dean.cannon@... Sen.
