Your organization was provided on the Internet as an advocacy group in Florida.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2011, the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) will be hosting a free conference for parents and advocates focusing on the following issues:

· OCR 101 –Your Rights and Obligations Under the Laws OCR Enforces;

· “I think my child has a disability†- Section 504 & the Education of Students with Disabilities in Public Elementary & Secondary Schools - Navigating Section 504 & Educational Services for Students; and,

· Unlawful Harassment and Bullying of Students in Education Programs & Activities.

The conference will take place at Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Attached please find a flyer/registration sheet. Please forward this along to any parents or advocates whom you think might be interested in attending.
