Guest guest
Frie you a scrambled egg. sounds crazy? put a egg or 2 in a glass cup or bowl. beat the egg up using a fork, once the skillet is very hot with olive oil of course, then pour the gee in the skillet. I only cook it maybe one minute on each side, maybe less. I never timed it, but it is a scrambled egg that is fried like a over easy or over hard. then I toast me a slice of whole grain bread. the reason why I use whole grain bread is it doesn't send my sugar up to high like regular whole wheat or white will do. then I lay my egg on the toast and melt a table spoon of real butter to pour over the egg and toast. some times I spread a table spoon of strawberry preserves on it instead. I've always dug jelly with eggs all mixed in. if you eat ham or bacon, then lay this on top of the egg. I also at times spread cottage cheese over the egg. But this is a easy and fast way to scramble a fried egg and flipping one is real easy, 2 eggs will require a larger turner and practice to keep it from folding over on it self. now if you like a toad in the hole, then tare out the center of a slice of bread with out taring up the out side of the bread. put it in the skillet with a bit of butter and after a minute or so break a egg in the hole. let cook for a bit and flip it over. this is also easy for us who are blind to flip over and have a fried egg. also you can break an egg in a little boiling water and leave just as long as it gets the way you like it cooked. I have no clue what this is or called, but have done it before and it works fine. maybe this is really a poached egg and the way we mostly do it is actually a steamed egg, but really have no clue my self. I know a fellow who drinks a glass of raw eggs before he lifts weights. I say nasty!
Guest guest
As you mentioned, poached eggs are a good choice since no oil (i.e. fat) is required. I've got several microwave devices I use, but you can also put a tiny amount of water (maybe a half-a-teaspoon, or maybe a little more, in a mug and drop the egg down in. Poke the yoke a few times to help with the pressure which will build up. Cover it up and zap it for about a minute, maybe less. Guest guest
Oh, that all sounds so good! My daughter Debbie made us a fried egg in the middle of a slice of bread when she stayed with us for a while a few years ago. It was good. I have never tried it though. I wonder if you even have to turn it over? I never have done the cottage cheese thing with eggs but I like both things. Just neve rhad it together. another breakfast idea low in carbs. > Frie you a scrambled egg. sounds crazy? put a egg or 2 in a glass cup or > bowl. beat the egg up using a fork, once the skillet is very hot with > olive oil of course, then pour the gee in the skillet. Guest guest
Yes, my children loved the egg in the middle of the bread! We called it " the toad in the hole! If you put a tight lid on the pan, you don't need to turn it over, but it is better if you turn it, so that the bread will be toasted on both sides. another breakfast idea low in carbs. > Frie you a scrambled egg. sounds crazy? put a egg or 2 in a glass cup or > bowl. beat the egg up using a fork, once the skillet is very hot with > olive oil of course, then pour the gee in the skillet. Guest guest
What I knew as Toad In The Hole came from 's grandparents who lived in England. They made Yorkshire pudding and put sausages in it and 's mother used hot dogs. another breakfast idea low in carbs. > > > Frie you a scrambled egg. sounds crazy? put a egg or 2 in a glass cup > or > > bowl. beat the egg up using a fork, once the skillet is very hot with > > olive oil of course, then pour the gee in the skillet.
