I have used a Schwinn Aerodyne for years. Well, first I tried some of those less

expensive ones you can get anywhere for about $100. I ran through two of those

in several years. I have had to get my Aerodyne to the shop several times. But

it has the arms that move so you get a whole body workout. I actually try to

focus on certain muscles so I might push forward with my triceps for one round

then pull with my biceps one round then push using my chest muscles one round

then pulling with my back muscles one round. And all the while changing the way

I run the pedals also. One time the regular way then one time pushing down with

the heels then another time like I am pulling my leg up and out then pulling my

leg into a curl.

that is a fine idea you have there. the best time to start riding a no where

bike, is right now! I take my pig hat off to you and your choice to live

healthy. putting forth the right mind set and attitude to do something about the

rest of your healthy life! what you do is get you a box that will fit in your

closet out of the way. then every time you lose weight from riding your no where

bike, you find a rock that weighs as much as what you just lost. put the rock in

the box and leave it there. any time you get a bit on the lazy side and think

that you can skip to day or to morrow and not ride your no where bike, just go

get that box out of your closet and pick it up. hold it and realize that you

have lost that much weight that the box is holding by not skipping days on the

no where bike. this little important reminder will help you to continue on the

no where bike traveling down the every where trail. rocks are free and our

loving God put them here on Mother earth for many reasons. so go find you some

free rocks laying all around you and keep them close at hand. when ever you lose

some weight find the rock the weighs the same and place it in your reminder box.

I use my weights for my reminder. no one is strong enough to never get a thought

of skipping time on the exercise equipment of there choice. we are all very

human and us humans for the most part are just lazy by nature. I know for me

feeling the same pounds in my hands that I have all ready lost is the very thing

that keeps me going and keeps me getting back on my no where bike that takes me

every where I wish to go! now something else very important to know. just riding

your no where bike works for some, but most of us need to listen to a book, read

a book, listen to music, watch TV, talk on the phone or one of my favorite

things to do is talk to my God in Prayer. we all can get more Prayer time in our

life, but we think we are to busy to find the time. well when riding my no where

bike is a perfect time to spend time with God just talking with him like he is

right there riding his own no where bike be side me on the same trail. you will

be amazed how fast the time will fly by when you talk to God while exercising.

being thankful for all the blessing in your life. being thankful for all your

friends and the family you still have around. thanking God for the right

attitude that you have to do something better to control your health and make

smarter choices in daily living. thank him for your positive attitude and

thinking. most of the time it is our flesh that makes us desire to give up and

quit, but some times it is Satan him self trying to convince you to not bother.

when this is the case, tell Satan to get behind you in the name of Sweet Jesus

and I can assure you the positive feeling will return and you will have the

strength to continue on. you to can tie days together just like I have and many

others have. you start with one day first, then 2, then 3 and soon you got a

week. never skip a day unless you are sick or hurt in some way that would stop

you. start out slow with maybe 15 minutes twice a day. do this for a week, then

increase your time by say 5 minutes. now you are riding for 20 minutes twice a

day. the third week increase it to 25 minutes twice a day. keep doing it this

way and sooner then you can believe you will be flying down the trail on your

way to losing unwanted pounds! let me know how you are getting along and I will

help if I can. If I can't figure out your question and have a answer for you,

then I will take it to God in Prayer. now go buy you the right no where bike

that meets your needs and one you will use. you and your no where bike will

become good buddies and you need to dig each other in order for the relationship

to work out. good luck and may God richly bless you as he is still blessing me.

Re: My type of no where bike.

Okay, Mark, thanks for the information. Will get back to the store and

check out the bikes.

well my fine Sir! you got it going on the way it sounds to me. every one

should go find the piece of exercise equipment that they can afford and that

they will spend time on. you are making the best of your equipment and sounds

like you have it all figured out. you keep the grate reports coming so others

can learn from your example. always some one is watching and listening, so share

and help some one else who needs to hear about your success.

My type of no where bike.

Well each to there own, but I got a bike that the seat is like a chair and the

peddles are straight out in front of the chair seat. it is about six foot long

and the seat can more closer or farther away, depending on how you like it best.

they call it a redundant bike. mine is made for heavy people and is heavy duty

swin. suppose to hold up to 350 pounds and cost $500 back in 2006. this one has

the computer screen that tells everything you would ever wish to know or need to

know about how you are doing. it even has a picture of a girl riding a bike and

as you ride, so does her peddles go around. I was told this is the case. I

suppose the cute lady is suppose to cause us guys to ride faster and harder so

we can catch up with her? the screen is all touch, so if you are total as I am,

then you will need to Braille the up, down, start and stop. there is others

things you might wish to Braille, but that will be up to what you need. you can

increase the tension on the peddles by hitting up one time or more if you really

would like it tight to peddle. hitting the down makes the tension lighten up and

get easier to peddle. it does have a plug on the front of it that has to be ran

with electric to make the computer work. the handles down be side the seat does

have a strip on each handle that is suppose to tell you what your palse is on

the screen, of course if you can't see it doesn't talk. there is also handles to

either side of the computer screen if your arms are longer then mine or if you

were sitting very close to the peddles, then you could hang on to them as well.

you can find the redunit bike at other stores for a lot less money. Wal-Mart use

to carry them for around $150. it is a heavy duty, but will still work if you

aren't a huge person. you will need a six foot area though to set it in. they

are easy to move around if you need to. I really like mine and would buy another

one if this one gets to tired. some folks like the plain up right bike like they

use to only have. the seat was right above the peddles and some the handle bars

moved and some they stayed in one spot. I never liked these kinds very well and

never would ride them as I ride the one I have now. of course look around at

different bikes and make sure it is the kind you will ride. even if it cost you

a bit more then you wish to spend, it is still better to buy a piece of exercise

equipment that you will enjoy exercising on. get on it at the store and ride it

for a bit. enough so you will know if it will reach all your requirements in a

bike or what ever you get. you can even buy some redunit bikes that the seat

will all most lean back, but I didn't see how laying down to ride would keep me

awake. mine doesn't have a fan on it, but I heard the new one's do if this is

something you would like. I know I would, but just use a fan on the table be

side me and that also will work. good luck and happy trails!

Well, doing it this way it is not as boring as pedal, pedal, pedal. And it works

all the muscle groups.

We got our recumbent bike at a store called Academy. It has a seat like a

chair that can be moved back or forward to accommodate leg length. The

tension is magnetic so when you peddle there's no sound. I think it was

around $200. I like to listen to a book or Jeopardy while I'm riding.

I know you meant meant, not mint. Your misspellings and bad grammar are an

endless source of amusement for us, if that's any consolation.

Thanks

Re: My type of no where bike.

well yes of course. told you I can't spell and my grammar is way bad, but

never the less I seem to get my point across in the way it was mint. by the

time I'm finished on this list, you all should be able to read and talk pig

Latin very well!

I love you as well brother. how about you taking this unwanted weight from me

that I'm getting rid of? I would like to see you weighing 300 just once, then we

will cut it off and you will be back to normal. you know what? if we could

really just take off all the weight we desired to in one big lump, how cool

would it be to try and pick the big lump up? I would love to see all my

discarded fat laying in the middle of my garage in one big pile. would probably

be like trying to pick up a big long water balloon. that reminds me of the time

I thought instead of sucking all the water out of every tube in my king size

water bed, I figured I could just carry them all out to another room until I

needed to bring them back and put them in place again. well I'm here to let you

know that was a real bad plan. I never knew those little tubes could be so heavy

and dain hard to carry. I found out I had to do it the right way which was the

way that took all day long and half of the night to get them filled back up with

water. I later purchased a new bladder and it was the one big bladder and not

those silly tubes. I sure do miss sleeping on a water bed though.

Mark, you have the same problem I have! Not too heavy, just too short for

my weight!
