Guest guest
hi chrissy, the surgery decision is between you and your family and your dr. altimately it is your decision. i had no time to decide. i progressed so fast that the tingling on my right side was constant which means the flow was bad and i was going unreversably paralyzed if something wasnt done. now i am just weak but i can move again. it was a matter of a couple of months since the tingling to the surgery. many people can live their whole lives without a symptom or needing surgery. so that is a decision that has to be based on how progressed you are. i wouldnt jump into surgery but if your dr says it is the only way than consider it or at least another opinion. it isnt fun but necessary for many people. i hope this helped some what. good luck, nicole from michigan- -- chrissty23@... wrote: > Hi everyone, my name is Chrissy Im 27 from NY. Guest guest
Hi everyone. I have had a terrible few months iam sick more than i'm not i can't remember a day without pain. Anymore there are no good days and havent been for a very long time. I had an apt with Dr. Batsdorf on aug 1st but He wants more recient M.R.I. on the brain, neck and skull. My apt is going to be changed. I have tried for months to get my pcp and my neurologist to get newer M.R.I. They tell me its not neccasary. I am devastated and have been crying of an on for three days know. The M.R.I.s that i sent and there was alot believe me were done in 99 and00. so in order for me to see him i pray that my Dr.s will do these new ones i don't know what to do. I still can't believe it I thought i had finally found someone who might be able to help me. I've been sick for such along time. My days are spent laying on the sofa if i do anything at all my headaches and other symtoms get worse. I feel so overwhelmed with this lattest hurdle. I just pray that i can see a Dr. soon that knows about Chiari. The Dr.s here sure dont. Thanks for reading my letter a frind had to type it up for me I'm to sick to do it myself. Thankyou God Bless Deb Dan & Deb Truax wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I may have a silly question for you here goes after you had the > decompressin > and laminectoys can the skull thicken again? I have found water fitness great when it comes to strengthening my whole body. It is gentle, causes little stress on the joints, and relaxing. I have also done isometric exercises to help with my neck weakness. This is a link that explains neck isometric exercise: http://www.seniorfitness.net/neckpain.htm If you experience pain with any exercise, stop doing the exercise. You can once again, slowly introduce the exercise, but take it slow. Kathleen
Guest guest
That is something that is hard to say, as we are all different. However, when she feels comfortable sleeping in different positions, then I would say she's ready. :-) This is all so individual. Beth www.brinnasdream.com (no subject) Hi group, my DD is 8 days post op, and was wondering how long before she will be able to sleep on her side or any other position than on her back.....any hints or tips would be appreciated....... sue Help section: http://www.yahoogroups.com/help/ NOTE: NCC refers to posts with No Chiari Content To Unsubscribe Yourself: chiari-unsubscribe WACMA Home: Http://www.wacma.com WACMA Online Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chiari/
