Guest guest
was just wondering how many carbs are in a piece of hard candy? like pepper mints and butter scotch and the root beer flavor, and the hot one and all the rest. I figure maybe ten or 15 per piece. best thing to do is read the label, but figure one of you have all ready checked it out for me?
Guest guest
The only hard candy I eat is made with sorbitol and it still has 3 grams of carbs in it. I eat only one or 2 a day at the most. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 3:25 PM To: blind diabetics Subject: tell me about hard candy please. was just wondering how many carbs are in a piece of hard candy? like pepper mints and butter scotch and the root beer flavor, and the hot one and all the rest. Guest guest
I'd be inclined to think less than 10 grams. I'll eat a mini dark chocolate candy bar, and they're less than 10 grams of carbohydrate. Guest guest
The small hard round candies like butterscotch, pepermint and cinemon are about 5 grams of carbs each. It varies from person to person, and from diabetic to diabetic, but each candy will raise my blood glucose level around twenty to twenty-five points. I prefer them to the glucose tablets, which are not really glucose tablets, but tablets of dextrose, where as the candy is made mostly of sucrose, which is a slightly more complex sugar than the dextrose tablets. I find that either one has about the same effect on my blood glucose level, so I choose the cheaper candy, since it taste better, is cheaper and does the same thing as the expensive so-called glucose tablets. When I experience a low sugar level, usually verified with a glucose monitor test, it only takes one or two candies to raise my level to the normal range without shoodting my glucose level sky high. just saying, Harry Fair or fairness is a code word to promote the agenda of socialist, communist, marxist, and Democrats. The fact of life is it is unfair. Politicians who claim to make things fair or fairer are usually lieing.

Guest guest
I love those butterscotch and I don't know if they still make butter rum life savers. Root beer barrels are good too, and also has those little spice gum drops and we have those After Dinner mints that give you Kissie Mouth, haha. I wonder how much one or two of those would hurt us? I sometimes take one because I really get dragon mouth, haha. tell me about hard candy please. > was just wondering how many carbs are in a piece of hard candy? like > pepper mints and butter scotch and the root beer flavor, and the hot one > and all the rest.
