Guest guest
figuring it all out. you know me? I make notes about everything that I do each day. can't recall it all and my memory is real bad. have noticed the last six weeks there is a pattern of how my numbers will run through the day. when I do things and continue moving around, plus ride my no where bike for 90 minutes a day, my sugars will most always run in the 90's and some 80's. however, when I ride my no where bike for the 90 total, but sit and read or play on the pc, then my numbers will run between 100 and 115. funny how it works this way? the key looks like we got to keep moving at least 80% of the day. either cleaning the house, cleaning the garage, spring cleaning the closets, working in the shop, or just simply walking in circles. doesn't hurt to mess with some hand weights as well through out the day. these movements through the day seems to keep blood sugars low if of course you are doing the rest as you should. hard to take a book player with you around the house as you clean or work in a shop though. I like music my self when I clean or work in the shop. the best advice is simply move your butt! if you can't find anything to clean or rearrange, then walk circles around the house for at least 15 minutes out of each hour. it is a grate added touch to a perfect day in your sugar numbers. when I was working it was always those types of jobs that required you to stand all day. some times when work was slow in my department, they would give me a sit down job and my butt would start snoring after a bit! I actually had to stand up and allow it to laugh and wiggle all around to get the blood to moving once again. my big butt just simply wasn't trained to sit during the work day and sitting for an hour or so actually made my butt hurt! this is telling me that we aren't suppose to do a lot of sitting around in a day. I think God means for us to move our butts all around and back and forth. can't figure out exactly why they are so thick though with lots of padding, but could be this is made for a switch? I heard from a heart doc who talks on the radio once a week say, if you sit for a total of 11 hours in a day, then your chances of heart trouble and early death is 5 times grater then those who only sit for 5 to 6 hours a day. it even gets lower if you sit less then 2 or 3 hours a day. I know those who are in wheel chairs and can't get out of bed got an excuse, but what about us who have no good excuse? I can catch my self on this pc posting to all the different list I belong to, typing out for hours. I have to make my self get up and move away from my beast. there is plenty to do in my house that needs done, but it isn't always a thing I wish to do at that moment. sitting and reading a good book or watching the TV feels good at times, but we really do need to increase our movements that require us up on our feet. my records are showing that my sugar really likes my butt up and moving during the day. now as soon as I can figure out how to walk and sleep at the same time I will pass this information on for all to try.
