Guest guest
I'm here to tell you trying to keep the sugars at a nice level, like between 90 and 120 and still dropping pounds is like walking on a tight wire. exercise is most important, however it can as well drop your sugar much lower if your sugar was around 100 when you started to exercise. I mostly eat a bit of something before I exercise. most of the time it helps and my sugars will stay where I desire them to be. then on the other hand, if I me to many carbs to bring my sugar up a bit higher, then I can't lose weight as I really need to do. I'm thinking in 3 weeks when I go see the diabetic specialist he may cut the insulin down lower or take me off of it for now. I still take 1000 mg of met Forman twice a day along with the flex pen twice a day as well. I'm not the specialist and actually have not a clue what he will do. I do know that I need less units of insulin then the 15 twice a day that I do now. he still thinks I'm on 17 twice a day. I will tell him when I go in the day I dropped it to 15 and show him the numbers. I keep all my records now unlike I use to not do. sticking my finger six to ten times a day makes for sore fingers, but at this time I got to know with out guessing where my sugar is at any time. at this time I eat breakfast at 5 a.m, lunch at 11 a.m and dinner at 5 pm. bed is at 8 pm. I don't snack between meals unless before exercise my sugar is below 100. since I have 6 hours between meals, I'm thinking no matter the sugar level I may need to eat a small low carb snack in the middle of the time between meals. thinking this may help to keep my sugars above 90 and not over 120. at this time I do my no where bike for 45 minutes twice a day. 9 pm and again at 2 pm. if I eat a bigger dinner then normal, I will then throw in a 30 minute ride at 6 pm to help the insulin bring the sugar down. it does seem like when my sugars fall in to the 90's at bed time, this is when I will have the shakes around 2 a.m. the balance trick is to only eat a type of food that will raise my sugar over 100, but not over 120. I'm still working on figuring all this out. like I said it is like walking a tight rope over the grand cannon. loose weight, but control the sugar and keep a close eye on the ticker all at the same time. one thing for sure is when you do all this you never get to bored! Guest guest
Hi, I just read about your poor lab of 13, must go to heaven now. YOu know I reeally believe that we can go to heaven and be withour dogs. I lost my dear lab of almost 14 in 2001. It seems like yesterday sometimes. I will never ever forget him and he helped me raise my 4 children in many ways. He ws definitely my best friend. It is so hard, no way around it. I did't have diabetes then, but it must make it verry hard to have to deal with diabetes and your loss. Remember how they said that it is better to have loved and lost thannever to have loved at all? I believe that strongly. I think it aplies to pelple as well as animals, and we myst keep going no matter how painful it is, for joy comes in the morning. Hang in there and write me if you want someone to write to. Vicki Meizinger > > I am sorry to hear about your little girl. Guest guest
all you ladies and germs are very sweet and understanding in such a big lost. I really do appreciate your heart felt concern. I believe God gives us animals for pets so we can learn how to love others and then how to give up and except the lost from death of a loved one. it is a life long process and we are to learn each small step at a time through our walk. it all prepares us for heaven which is for ever. of course there is different levels of love, but being loved and having love from pets or others is one of the greatest gifts our Lord has gave us, but death goes with love. it is the other side of the clin and you can't love with out sadness from the lost of loving. it's all lessons we have to learn in life. all of our struggles we have in our life are all for a grater purpose and all will be worth it when we finally get to where we are going when we no longer need these old bodies that do ware out and die. did you know that when animals are free in the wild or out in the country with no fences to hold them in, they know when it is there time to die and they will if they can wonder away to do so. most of the time you will never know where they went. God made them this way. us humans on the other hand wish to be with others when we pass out of this world in to the next. even though we cross by out self, we still want our loved one's near us. god knows what he is doing because he is large and in charge! kind of like walking on a tight wire. > > I'm here to tell you trying to keep the sugars at a nice level, like > between 90 and 120 and still dropping pounds is like walking on a tight > wire. exercise is most important, however it can as well drop your sugar > much lower if your sugar was around 100 when you started to exercise. Guest guest
thank you very much. kind of like walking on a tight wire. I'm here to tell you trying to keep the sugars at a nice level, like between 90 and 120 and still dropping pounds is like walking on a tight wire. exercise is most important, however it can as well drop your sugar much lower if your sugar was around 100 when you started to exercise.
