Guest guest
Oh, yes. The only way I like graham crackers is if they are covered with chocolate! Therefor I don’t eat them at all! _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of dave Bond Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 10:43 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: graham crackers, anyhone? Don, it's not that you have to eliminate them completely, but you may want to limit them. IF you normally eat x number of grams of carbohydrate with breakfast, you can certainly eat a gram cracker, or crackers, totaling the same amount of carbohydrates. The thing is, you should want to maximize your nutritional value with every food item you eat as a diabetic. Non-nutritional foods should be the exception, not the rule. For instance, instead of gram crackers for breakfast, which if I remember correctly from a message the other day have only 1 gram of fiber, you ate high fiber bread made with whole grain, you're doing your diabetes a favor.
