Guest guest
The post ERCP pain is probably from the stent itself. Stretching of internal " pipes " (intestines, ducts, etc) is the cause of most gut pain. It's pretty unlikely that the pain is due to gas. That's far more common during a colonoscopy where they use a lot of air to inflate the colon for better views of the lining. This pain should resolve with time to a dull ache that should eventually disappear. Increasing pain combined with fever, nausea and vomiting are signs of pancreatitis of perforation of the bile duct. Any of which should have you going to the ER as soon as possible. Low blood sugars in a person who is not diabetic and not on antihyperglycemic medications such as insulin or oral diabeta, etc, can be very normal. As mentioned, blood sugar ranges are an average and in any given person, the range may not be accurate. Especially at the lower end. If it was above the upper end, then there would be a concern about diabetes. Further testing is not really indicated in this situation.
