Guest guest
I never had any pain after ercp's, however I wonder if you had an experienced dr. guiding the equipment or was it someone who was learning the procedure. You can ask who will be doing your next procedure and plan on requesting a specialist with lots of experience. I also wonder if you were dehydrated. The prep for the ercp is not easy and it may be you didn't have enough fluid in you and that may have affected you BP. I have always made sure I drank clear liquids up to the cut of point. At your next ercp, be sure to tell every person you see that you had difficulty with the last procedure and describe what happened. The staff do not want you to have another bad experience, they really do care about preventing pain and other potential problems, but you have to be sure they are informed.
