Guest guest
Cindy, Thanks for sharing that with me. I must admit I've been a little nervous about "benign tumors". I have two on the L1 vertebrae and one on T12. According to the MRI it doesn't appear that they are on my nerve, but the fact of the matter is one of them is...that's what had them looking for the problem in the first place. I get shooting pains, in my pelvis area, that take my breath away (I equate them with labor pains!). I don't imagine it'll be long before we are looking at a way to resolve this. Besides, the original one that they found grew from 6 mm to 1 cm in just a week. If it continues at this rate it'll cause more trouble. Again, for now I'm hoping to put any surgery off for a long time.
Guest guest
Although I'm not looking forward to surgery, I also don't want to wait until the pain gets as bad as it did with you. I know you must have been miserable!
Guest guest
Mine grew substantially from the time of the MRI to surgery. When the surgeon got in there, it was bigger than what he had expected and had to scrape into the spine. And the pain you describe as shooting pain that takes the breath away.........Yup! I also remember times when I went to get up and start to walk my body went forward with the move, but the left leg didn't and I fell or stumbled many times. I knew I was ready for surgery. I would cry the first hour of every day because the pain was so great!
