Actually, I do a lot more exercise at home!

Can anyone explain?

Hi,

I just can't figure it out!

Two years ago while on a cruse, I ate everything in sight, including

desserts, but my BGs were never 100, normally, I try very heard to try to

keep them below 100, but at times for no apparent reason, they go wacky! I

just got back from a train trip, where again, I ate huge meals, including

great deserts, and again, my BGs never went over 100! So, it seems that

when I try very hard to keep them low, I have a very hard time doing so,

but

when I pretty well ignore all the rules, it seems that the BGs are staying

well within my target! For the life of me, I can not figure it out!

You might have done more walking than usual. When I go on cruises, I walk

around the ship more than I do at home and always run low BG.

So, it seems that

when I try very hard to keep them low, I have a very hard time doing so, but

when I pretty well ignore all the rules, it seems that the BGs are staying

well within my target! For the life of me, I can not figure it out!

Different food, even though the quantity is greater. Perhaps you're using a

cooking oil or some other product that is actually high in fat, resulting in

high bg readings at home. As crazy as this disease is, much of what happens can

be explained logically.

well the pig has just figured it out! we each need to slap you around because

you can and we can't. I can walk by and just stare at a fine looking dish and my

sugar starts upward, then if I actually partake of it? well the numbers will

shoot through the roof. this isn't one bit fair at all in any way what so ever!

I'm thinking you might be carrying a rabbits foot in your pocket? maybe a lucky

penny that you had in your pocket while in a car wreck and now you believe it to

be lucky? could be your meter went on vacation as well and wasn't doing it's job

that week in question? ocean water may effect the way the meter operates? you

got to play by the same rules as we all do! if you can't play by the rules of

the game, then you got to not play and only watch. of course you could step up

to the plate and tell us it was a huge pile of only fresh and steamed veggies

that you ate all those meals. sugar free desserts and only one bite of each is

all you had. then you can also let us know about the exercise you done each day

to cause the sugar reading to be this low. I'm thinking maybe they tied a long

rope on you and pitched you over board! this way they would toe you behind the

boat by maybe 50 yards and you had to swim like crazy to get out of the way of

so many sharks that wished to taste you. they say swimming is a pretty fine way

to exercise and if you were scared of a little o shark bite, then I suppose you

could maybe make your legs and arms work faster? I bet you even sucked on sacks

of rocks, but you are telling your self it was sweet candy like butter scotch

and cinnamon! maybe some root beer logs and some fine peppermint. I'm not sure

if I would dig sucking on a plain rock, but maybe dipped in ocean water it could

taste rather salty and I do so love salt. this big boat ride you were on was

probably a exercise type of trip. they probably made you all jump through hoops

every meal time so you had to earn your meal. one hour of back flips, cart

wheels, jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, standing on your head and walking on

your hands across the deck was what you had to do before they would let you eat.

you probably lost 20 pounds by the time you got back home. probably couldn't get

out of bed for 3 days! I think the truth is while eating your salad with sea

weed dressing, there was another guy across from you eating a fine prime rib and

lobster, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, steamed veggies and lots of nice hot

yeast rolls with piles of real butter. I know this sounds like a very bad thing

to do to such a fellow like you, but this is how they motivated you fat people

to get in shape and control your sugar. they told you next year you can sit

across the table from a diabetic as you are and eat the steak and lobster. could

be what you are saying you ate was all made with card board and sea weed. they

gave you some kind of a pill that caused your taste buds to think it was grate

tasting food! you had a card board steak and a pile of sea weed that looked like

mashed potatoes. no telling what the gravy was made of and I hate to even go

there! you should have brought some of those magic pills home with you to share

with your buddies! then we could suck on rocks and pretend in our minds that it

was candy and fine desserts that we love so much! chocolate cake with fudge

icing and vanilla ice cream. cheese cake with lots of strawberry topping. I bet

they can do a lot with sea weed to make it look mighty fine to eat, but the

taste is what they can't figure out, so they came up with a pill that would make

you think it was grate tasting stuff. best thing for you to do is send me the

information about this big boat ride you went on so I can look in to it and find

out the real facts. of course if they buy me off to keep the truth from you?

well you know how it goes. money talks and BS walks!

Well, Mark, you are right! I missed getting back on at one of the islands

and had to chase the boat for quite a distance! Smile!
