I just wanted to let everyone know how is doing. We went back to

Vanderbilt on Jan. 3 for the ERCP and they removed the stent.

Everything looked good with his bile duct. His blood work that day

showed elevated liver enzymes. They did blood work again on Jan. 4 and

scheduled a biopsy for Jan. 5. It confirmed was having a

rejection episode. He received IV steroids Jan. 6, 7, and 8 and his

labs were better on the 8. We got to come back home after the last

dose of steroids. He had labs done locally today and we should know

tomorrow or Friday how they were. Other than that, he is doing great.

Dear ,

I am glad that is doing better. The steriods will surely do the trick. I am currently having a rejection episode as well. Eating prednisone and loving every minute of it. The labs are getting better. The liver enzymes dropped again today. Now if I could just get off the steriods so I could sleep it would be great.

Tell I hope he continues to do better.

Hi ,

I hope life after transplant only gets better for you and . I was

just curious about how his transpland allows for him to still have

ERCPs? If you have a Roux-en-Y I thought you couldn't. Does he have a

duct to duct anastomosis instead?

Best wishes,

Martha (MA)
