EGD, Stents pulled, new dx

had EGD today (instead of ERCP) and Dr. Cass pulled his stents. They want to see what his liver is going to do without them. (Moreso, verify what it'll do, since everyone is certain it's going to throw a fit.) With the fact that he has only one semi-good bile duct, we're sure this isn't going to go very well. Dr. Cass said he found that does have varices. They've never had him dx'd with portal hypertension, so can you have varices without it? His hemoglobin was only 8.2 today. Not so great. But they're sucking blood out of him every chance they get. So I won't be surprised if he needs to be transfused again in the next few days. I know he will NOT be happy if he has to go back on Epoegin shots again because of it. He hated those things. And I guess that's about all I have for the moment. He was feeling

pretty good since the weekend, which has been nice. Especially with how cruddy he feels now. Ami:

Hi to you both and the family. Sorry that is still not doing so good.

Thank goodness for the little breathers you both get.

How are you all holding up?

I am praying for the best for and maybe some wonderful miracle will happen

and the blood count will go up, the one bile duct will work good, and the

varices will wither and die off. Does any of that happen? I am sure with all

the good wishes that if it can it will.

Love ya, girlfriend.

Butterful kisses to you and ,

dee
