Guest guest
Hi . I am Dana. New to the group. I had to smile at your entry, cause I have had crohns since 7. The scenerio with your husband and his pants has happened here. My poor husband has learned to do everything, including feed me when i cant stomach cooking. I have two teen boys. I have never taken entercort. I was diagnosed with PSC three years ago and have been a basket case since. My question to you. is, I was diagnosed during an ercp, due to a gall stone. I was told that the gallbladder could not come out bec. they would have to rebuild the bile ducts. I continually have swelling and pain in the gallbladder, unless it is the PSC. How did you have yours out? did they rebuild your ducts? Any help would be great. I am so new to this and am confrused by gallblatter vs. bile duct pain. symptoms.... thanks Dana Wilkinson wrote: :No I lost my gallbladder in '01. That's when they found the PSC. MyLFT's are normal. They did find on a CT that I have a nice sized cyston my kidney so that may be it. I have an appointment with a urologiston Monday.I went to my gastro yesterday and he said that we will give entocortuntil Monday to bring the Crohn's back under control. If it is stillgoing on then, he is going to try predisone (unsure of that spelling). When I first starting taking the entocort, I was taking the wrongdosage. I was suppose to be taking 9 mg a day and I was only taking 3. He had given me samples from his office and I misunderstood the nurse.I would be interested to hear from others that have taken thesesteroids, what side effects they have experienced. I asked my doc ifthey were going to cause me to puff up and he said yes. He also saidthat they could cause acne and insomnia. I have been on it a week nowand I have not noticed any problems. Of course, I have also dropped 10pounds in the last week because of the flare up so maybe I would notnotice it right away. This is my first really bad flare up with Crohn'sso it has been hard. I asked the doctor if this was the way that itwould be from now on and he said no, that I would get my energy and myappetite back so that made me feel better. I went to bed last night at7:30 and slept through until 5:45 this morning. It has been that wayall week. My house is a disaster. My husband was sitting down eatingbreakfast this morning in shorts and a t-shirt. I asked him why hewasn't ready for work and he said because he didn't have any cleanjeans. He was washing them even as we spoke. I hope they appreciate mewhen I get better. lol>>> ericman375 (AT) yahoo (DOT) com 11/3/2006 1:32 AM >>>Do you still have your gallbladder? Are you jaundiced?>===========================================================This message is confidential, intended onlyfor the named recipient(s) and may containinformation that is privileged or exempt fromdisclosure under applicable law.
