Guest guest
Hi all, I have just been discharged from a 7 day hospital stay for cholangitis. ( My 3rd attack since November, each required a hospital stay) I was sent home on antibiotics after the 2nd attack in December. I lasted about 2 weeks and got another attack. The docs were concerned that I was " Failing " on Oral antibiotics and suggested the Picc line. So here I am with it in until Jan. 25th taking Zosyn 3 times a day. I also had an ERCP done during my hospitalization and a Stent was put in. I have had 2 other ERCP's but stenting was never needed. I feel like things are progressing SO FAST and I am scared. Does anyone have any experience with Picc lines or stents that have prevented further cholangitis attcaks? Thanks, PSC 2004
