Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I wanted to introduce myself and ask for suggestions. I am a 30 year old student in Chicago. I just got diagnosed with PSC and have been trying to cope with the deluge of emotions. I was diagnosed with UC last year. Next week, wife and I are going to Mayo to see Dr Lindor and seek a second opinion. We don't think that the diagnosis will change but we feel he might have something to say about management and prognosis. I have a couple of questions: 1. What is the best way to cope with the depression? It feels unreal - how could I have got this condition when I feel fine physically? Wife is really being supportive as well as strong - I could not have handled this myself. 2. How do I break the news to my parents? They are in India and are already freaked out about my UC. Any suggestions on how I can help them take in this more easily? Thanks for the support. This group is great for getting information quickly. Let's hope for a quick breakthrough in research.
