Hello, I am new to the group and this is my first time sharing. I am 56 yo and was diagnosed with PSC in 2002 and am in stage 3. I have been reading all the emails and it has helped me a great deal and also opened my eyes as to some of the things I may expect to deal with in the future, some of which have upset me. I am trying to keep a positive attitude and learning to enjoy each day the Lord gives me. I have been reading some of the emails about MRI's and MRCP's. I, too, tend to be a bit panicky in "the tube" but have asked if I can be put in feet first and it has really helped me. My head is very close to the opening and I just close my eyes as I am going in and keep them closed until they slide me out. Just thought it might help some of you. Okie

Woodhoops As you will see on here 25 is not young. There are alot of kids in this group. My son was diagnosed at 11 nad had an emergent transplant at 19. The one common thing with PSC is that there are no common things. Some itch, some don't. Some have pain, (that was my son, he had pain everyday for 8 years), and some don't. Some get confused etc. Keep a journal of symptoms, questions for the dr and his answers. If you have to speak with your insurance company definitely write down what they say, verify it with them and get the person's name that said it. Good luck, God Bless and stick with us. There are alot of caregivers on this site if your wife has questions. Martiwoodhoops wrote: Hello,Just found this group browsing around today. I'm a 25 yr old malewho was diagnosed with PSC in 2000 shortly after being diagnosed withUlcerative Colitis. For the past 7 years I've been essentiallysymptom free until this last week. Everything seems to have crashed down at once. Had my first ERCPearlier in the week during which the doctor implanted a stint. Idon't know how common this is, but I've continued to have abdominal"soreness" for 2 days now after the procedure. It seems differentthan other abdominal pain I've had in the past. At this point I'm waiting on a referral to a liver specialist to beginthe process of getting on a transplant list. I just got married thissummer and feel to young

to be dealing with these types of healthissues but I guess I already got 7 years for free so now is my time : )Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated : )Thanks in advance.
