10mg......? WOW and I thought I was good getting down to just 25mg

this week. My current goal is 20mg while the Imuran is at 150mg.

20mg is where I was for the autoimmune when the PF struck back in

March 08. So, if I get there I should be HAPPY. But, OMG, only

10mg.....hang in there, now I know I will get there one of these days

and I will continue keeping the faith.

TOM, thank you for your kind encouraging words this morning. I do

hope you can lower yours too, but for 10 months I have been on

prednisone and I really don't know at this time whether I will ever

totally be off of it. That is my goal, anyhow. The 50lbs. that love

me so much hopefully will fall by the wayside. I hope it

doesn't " trip " anybody. haha Just my sense of humor kicking in.

Congrats Lou!! I have gone from 30, 20, 15, 10, and now 5 for the last month and am still hanging in there. Have only managed to drop 3 of the 20 pounds I gained, though!! Very frustrating trying to lose weight. I absolutely hate dieting cuz I love to eat!! Am used to eating whatever I want though, and not gaining weight. This is going to be tough especially with the Holidays coming up!! I did notice the first week when I dropped from 10 to 5, though, that I seemed a little more short of breath but after that first week it got better and I am still hanging so far. HI CAROLYN: Thanks for your post about your prednisone

accomplishment. Wow! How great is that? I suppose too that

probably my coughing might increase too? Or breathing difficulty. I

will try to handle each thing delicately as it confronts me, then I

can kind of be prepared to accept each physical thing that comes my

way. I will fight it Carolyn, only way to fly.

Hi Caro,

I went to see my pulmo today and she said I can drop to 5! She put me on Spivira and is hoping that with the 5 mgs of prednisone it will be enough to keep me breathing well. I am so excited and I was so glad to see you are doing okay after a month. I am hoping ,hoping, hoping that I lose some of the weight I have gained, but mainly I am hoping I will stop being so shaky.
