Guest guest
We had my brother's consult with the Transplant surgeon on Friday in San . It was a very positive and optimistic appointment. The surgeon believed that my brother was a good candidate for transplant. His nurse coordinator is suppose to call us in about a week to schedule the eval appt. About 3-4 days in San . They said based on his blood work from December they would put his MELD at a 21, but his blood work taken on Friday morning, put his MELD at an 18. Of course, he was fresh out of the hospital on IV antibiotics so I know that had something to do with his bili being down to a 10 (woo hoo for him, hope it stays, but not holding my breath), his normal is right around 12. We are on our way to beginning this leg of his health journey. Just wanted to update everyone. Thanks for the well wishes!!!!Brother, Dusitn, 30, UC & PSC
