Hello!

I am a 42 year old Norwegian man with Psc and UC. I have been

reading this forum for 2 years now, and am really appreciating it.

Today I got a visit from a priest in my church, who i haven`t seen

for many years. He had heard that I suffered from autoimmune

diseases. He told me of this Naltrexone medicin, that a doctor he

knew had mentioned for him. This medicine had helped another person

he knew who had an autoimmune disease. he then showed me the

internetpage with information. Here is a little part of it:

" Low Dose Naltrexone

FDA-approved naltrexone, in a low dose, can boost the immune system —

helping those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, autoimmune diseases, and central

nervous system disorders.

First Study of LDN Published in US Medical Journal

Dr. Jill 's original article, " Low-Dose Naltrexone Therapy

Improves Active Crohn's Disease, " in the January issue of the

American Journal of Gastroenterology (2007;102:1–9), officially

presents LDN to the world of scientific medicine. , Professor of

Gastroenterology at Pennsylvania State University's College of

Medicine, found that two-thirds of the patients in her pilot study

went into remission and fully 89% of the group responded to treatment

to some degree. She concluded that " LDN therapy appears effective and

safe in subjects with active Crohn's disease. "

In this link there are several autoimmune diseases mentioned that

Naltrexone will help against. Among them Ulcerative Colits. PSC is

not mentioned though, but it may be because it is so rare.

I hope some of you with medical experience could give their view of

this internetlink. Could it be of help for us?
