Guest guest
Crosby Sick, Tour Off by Josh Grossberg Tue, 20 Feb 2007 12:19:00 PM PST Crosby won't be carrying on anytime soon. The '60s folk-rock legend was forced to postpone a U.S. tour with longtime music partner Graham Nash, citing " medical issues, " according to a message on crosbystillsnash.com. The duo was set to launch the Two Together trek Mar. 19 in ee, Oklahoma, and hit theaters and casinos across the country before wrapping things up Apr. 14 in Niagara Falls. However, due to the 65- year-old Crosby's unspecified illness, the singers now hope to hit the road sometime later in the year. " We deeply regret that the band will not be able to embark on this tour as scheduled. At this time, we thank you for your understanding and the band looks forward to seeing you this fall, " the duo's manager, , said in a statement. The singer-songwriters' last road trip together as a tandem was in early 2004 in Europe. Last year, they teamed with frequent collaborators Stills and Neil Young for CSNY's Freedom of Speech Tour. Crosby's ill health forced the cancellation of a nine-date CNS tour of Austalia and New Zealand Feb. 17-Mar. 4. The threesome said they hope to make those dates up in the fall as well. An Australian newspaper ealier reported that Crosby had been battling pneumonia, but the musician's camp has not disclosed any information regarding his condition. Crosby has suffered from myriad health problems, including hepatitis C and a liver transplant, stemming from his well-documented struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. He was arrested back in 2004 on gun and drug charges, including possession of marijuana, but reached a plea bargain to avoid any jail time. The twice-enshrined Rock and Roll Hall of Famer (as a member of the Byrds and CSNY) also gained notoriety when Etheridge announced in 2000 that he donated sperm for her two children with former partner Cypher.
