Guest guest
Just a quick note. My insurance company is now (after several months) denying coverage for Xifaxin. This news made me tear up, because without it I'm a vegetable. My tx coordinator called to give me the bad news but gave me a number to the Rifaxin (Xifaxin) reimbursement hotline. These people fight the insurance company. They will try to get a prior authorization by submitting the patient records and documentation that this drug works for HE, even though it's approved use was for travelers diareah. If this attempt fails, they take on the appeal. I contacted them and provided them with my ins. info. and they are going to do the rest. I just thought others here might benefit from this info. The number is , if anyone is interested. (MO)AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. Our insurance covers xifaxan now thankfully with a $35.00 co-pay. I know it is very expensive and we would be in trouble if we had to pay out of pocket for it- our copays (for the whole family) are $400.00 a month just for rxs.
