Guest guest
Hi folks, I have arrived to your great country at last on thursday the 21st!! The flight from Mumbai to Shanghai was not very comfortable due to O2 problems . The o2 from tanks in the 'on demand mode' was not compatible as i had to inhale rather deeply for the supply , i did not notice initially but i saw that my saturations were dipping to 70s and after a visit to the toilet it plummeted to 50s. we told the crew that we would like to switch to the Eclipse portable that we were allowed to carry as cabin baggage , but they said that we had certified that the their o2 was compatible to us so we should try to use it as far as possible and if it still felt bad they would give us the tanks they kept for emergencies. {n the 2nd leg of the trip however from Shangai to San Francisco the captain himself obliged us and helped me to change my seat to one near the mains and i could hook on to it and use my portable i was very comfortable as my saturations rose to 97 and i made thru , thanks to the captain who was so sensible and kind. I will write more in my next post. Hope all are doing well. Geeta
Guest guest
Geeta So nice to see you here and well, in spite of some problems on the first flight. If only we could give people doses of common sense. They don't follow rules when they need to and then when they need to use some thought (as the Captain did on the next flight), they just can't do it. The sad thing is it could have had tragic consequences. The good thing is it didn't. Now as much as we want to know how your trip is doing, mostly you just make the most of your trip and enjoy your time here. > > Hi folks, > I have arrived to your great country at last on > thursday the 21st!! > The flight from Mumbai to Shanghai was not very > comfortable due to O2 problems . Guest guest
Geeta ... you may not even see this post, there are so many now. Glad you are safe in the US. The first part of the trip sounds worrisome about the O2...I'm hoping it will be arranged differently on your way home. Enjoy! MamaSher, age 70. IPF 3-06, OR.
