Guest guest
Hi All, I just got the news from my bronchoscope done yesterday that I have Lung Rejection Grade 2 which is worse than the minimal rejection that they treated me for last Nov. They are admitting me to the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Tues. Sept. 2 for 7 day treatment of the anti rejection IV Thymoglobulin which is what they gave me last Nov. I thank you all for your prayers for my bronchoscope and hope you will continue to keep me in your prayers for successful treatment of this rejection. At least this explains why I simply have not been feeling that great the last few weeks or maybe it has been the last 2 months. I don't recall when I started feeling so short of breath when I am on my feet or very active; and had hoped it was just the hot summer weather. I asked if there was anything I should or should not be doing this weekend and was simply told to just take it easy so that is what I will be doing. Guest guest
Judy, I am so sorry you have to go through this again. Of course we will be praying for you.Do they have any idea how long you'll be there? Have your son bring you a hot dog, tater salad. And relax. Kick your feet up and be pampered a few days. Guest guest
Peggy, I'll be admitted around noon on Tues. and they said the treatment would be 7 days, but I know from the treatment last Nov. that it could end up being a few more days depending on how low it makes my white blood count go. Last time it got so low they had to cut the dosage in half for 2 days then kept me 3 extra days. Also it lowered my magnesium so low they had to add a 2 hr IV for that also. I had bought some Nora books to read a year ago, but had problems with my vision for so long that I haven't read them. My eyes finally got better and after 6 attempts to get new glasses I finally got a good pair from Lens Crafter. I had 3 exams from my opthamalogist who is supposed to be one of the best eye docs in Cincinnati and was having Sears make the glasses. Finally the 4th pair I had Sears Optomotrist do an eye exam. Still I could not read well with them. The opthamalogist tried to blame my health and diabetics but I could still read well in my old glasses from 6 years ago, but they were no good on distance vision. Then I went to COSTCO and ordered glasses and when I went to pick them up they were the worst I had ever seen. I could not even read the largest print. Finally I pulled them up 1/2 inch or more above my eyebrows and realized they had the lenses placed incorrectly. I then checked the latest pair from Sears and pushed them up 1/4 of an inch and discovered then I could read with them. So I got those refunded and finally went to LensCrafters. They got both the reading and the long distance correct finally. Two weeks ago in one week period I was almost in a car accident 3 different times. I don't remember the first one but recall a car almost ran into me. The 2nd event was on Wed. that week as I was driving on I71 south to take 275 East. A huge truck was in the right lane just ahead of me and he suddently realized he was in the lane to go west on 275 and jerked over into the lane right in front of me and fortunately I was paying attention and able to get my car over into the left passing lane or I would not be here now. The next evening Jeff and I had gone to Olive Garden for dinner and as he was pulling my car out of the drive tothe main road (after looking and seeing no traffic coming our way) and suddenly a car in the far lane going the opposite direction did a quick U turn and missed us by inches. It made me not want to drive again, but I still do provided I am feeling up to it. This weekend I intend to just stay home and take it easy. I hope to put some photos into picture frames and hope that Jeff will help me get them hung up. I still need my computer worked on, but have put it off again since I will be in the hospital for at least 7 days beginning next tues. I jokingly had told Jeff I would watch QVC if I had to go to the hospital again, but actually I hope I feel well enough to read some books that I bought a year ago but they have just gathered dust. > > Hi All, > I just got the news from my bronchoscope done yesterday that I have > Lung Rejection Grade 2 which is worse than the minimal rejection that > they treated me for last Nov.
