Time to start planning for 2007 Rose Sale - Need Charlotte Area Helpers

Last year the rose sale that I held at my daughter's recital raised

$622 for PSC Partners. That was with 375 roses. Because everyone

loved the roses (zero complaints) I think we can sell 500 at this

year's dance recital.

However, I am thinking of making it even bigger this year if I can

find volunteers.

There are two huge opportunities.

First, I graduate on May 12, 2007 and if I can get permission from

the university to sell rose bouquets for that event it could be huge

but since I will be graduating, I would need someone to manage the

actual sales on graduation day (including giving the pre-orders to

the purchaser on the May 12).

Second, May 13, 2007 is Mother's Day and I think that there are three

churches that I can sell flowers (not sure if it would be more roses

or another type of bouquet) to men in those churches for their

wives/mothers for mother's day. If there are any other Charlotte

area members who could sell these to their church men also that would

make the market even larger.

For these events to become a reality I would need some volunteers for

May 11 and 12. Also, Bettyanne and Bud who give the greenery would

need to provide a greater supply of the greenery.

I am eager to find out if we can make these opportunites become a

reality.
