Guest guest
Dear Betty Ann, One of the reasons I didn't want to do the silent auction was that it was awkward to take everything up and down everyday. I think if we had small items like yours that we display only at the Saturday night dinner, it might be easier to manage. People could bring their small item to display at the dinner and then the items could go to the winner after the dinner. Small items can travel with the winners well. Let's see what Ricky thinks about this. Thank you so much for the effort, I am sure we can work something out. Thanks to everyone for their concern and encouragement. Bill is still fighting the recuring fevers but seems to be needing tylenol less often. I hope to have him back on his feet by the weekend and then back to NY. He has a Dr. appointment next Monday there. Then I think he will need another week of rest before he can return to work. What's with the NY doctors not taking BC/BS? This floors me since we have never run into this before and it is really expensive. Hope to catch up on all the other emails on my return, Lee Bud and I are sending in our registration for the conference by the end of this week. Having gone to the conference last year and being fairly new to learning about PSC,(even though I know I have probably had it for years) I would urge anyone who is evEN thinking about going to please go. You will get so much from it, in every kind of way, that you will go home feeling like you have another family concerned about you.I also have a question, probably for Ricky or Lee. I wasn't aware until recently that we wern't having the silent auction and I had a few baseballs signed, by my nephew Scot Shields who is a pitcher for the LA Angels, Mike Scioscia, manager of the Angels and Lackey, pitcher for LA Angels. Would it be alright to bring them and just let whoever wants to donate the most to PSC have one or all of them. I don't want to put them online, major league players don't like that, but I will gladly bring them with..........Can't wait to see everyone and new faces too!!................Bettyann (SC)

Let's see what Ricky thinks about this. Hurrah for the silent auction. I would be willing to set it up Friday, take down and set it up Saturday and love Lee's idea of " travel size " items. Or... a picture of an item if someone was willing to ship it to the winner? My mother contemplated donating an antique milk glass punchbowl set if I would ship it to the winner (that's a little on the big & fragile size, but it was a clever idea). If Ricky is willing... I will enlist my husband's help to carry items back and forth! I enjoyed last years silent auction. And, even though Lee is still out of town - I will begin the process for your Virtual Walk registration. The Virtual Walk is our greatest tool so far to move PSC research ahead - to find the cure. We hope to receive lots more s soon. Again, every donation is of value. Every small donation adds up to more research with the hope that someday... we will see far fewer posts talking of late stage PSC and cholangiocarcinoma and shortages of donor organs... and hopefully there will be new treatments so that fewer people have to live with the myriad of symptoms that PSC brings. To find registrations forms for the Virtual Walk - go to the PSCPartners.org website.
