Guest guest
I just purchased the Prodigy voice. I checked my sugar 2 hours after I ate this evening, and the result was 119 . Then I compared it to my voicemate ackucheck and the result was 180. I've been using the voicemate for 6 years. I got the prodigy for portability, and the fact that it takes up lots less space in my back pack when I travel. The difference between the two meters is 60. When I check my sugar in the mornings, it's been between 88 and 100. So with the prodigy it will be close to 20, which is dangerously low. I tried a Prodigy 5 years ago, and got the same results, so , I tried another one at that time with the same results, and returned both meters. So the questiones are, which one's correct, and do I just continue on using the voice mate? Thanks for your answers,
Guest guest
Use your new Prodigy. You will find the numbers will stabilize. I have found over the several years I halved used my Prodigy that the numbers run very similar to the blood test I have done with the lab. difference again, I just purchased the Prodigy voice. Guest guest
I'll go with Pat's suggestion. The Prodigy Voice will not give you your exact blood sugar, but it's close enough. No personal meter is perfectly accurate. I remember a difference in readings when I first went from my Voicemate to the PV, but it wasn't as large as you reported. Repeat your checks and see if the differences continue. And, finally, as Pat said, do a check within a few minutes of your next lab work so you can compare.
