Guest guest
Run for & PSC Partners Seeking a Cure - www.firstgiving.org/runforbilly. Colfer Jr. was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare degenerative liver disease, at the age of 13. At 16 yrs old, received a second chance at life when he was blessed with a liver transplant. At present, the only definitive treatment for PSC is liver transplantation. Sadly, ten years later, PSC recurred in 's new liver. On January 19, 2006, lost his battle with PSC at the age of 29. was an active member in the community, serving as Captain of the Massapequa Fire Department. He was always there to lend a helping hand to someone in need or share a laugh. was a hero. He taught us courage and strength as he bravely battled PSC and liver transplant. Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) is an autoimmune disease that causes the bile ducts inside and outside of the liver to become scarred, narrowed, and eventually blocked. As more and more ducts are blocked, bile becomes trapped and damages the liver eventually leading to cirrhosis. Currently, the cause of PSC is unknown and there is no cure for this disease. In honor of 's fight, I'm running the Long Island Half Marathon on May 6th 2007. My hope is that your support and donations will someday bring a cure for PSC and bolster awareness for Organ Donation. Donate Life! Please consider a donation to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure in honor of Colfer and all of the other brave men, women, and children who are inflicted with this disease and may someday face organ transplantation. To make a Donation, please visit my website at www.firstgiving.org/runforbilly. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Guest guest
Tina, What a wonderful effort your making for PSC Partners Seeking a Cure and what a terrific way to remember your soulmate Bill. As you can see by today's devastating news about Mark, we need to focus as much as we can on finding that cure. Thank you so much for thinking about those still battling this awful disease. Good luck with your run. I am sponsoring you right now. Omaha/Tarheel Tim

I really can't believe it. So, yes, I raised my target accordingly. Please pass on the word to visit www.firstgiving.com/runforbilly and support PSC Parteners Seeking a Cure. Hope all is well! Guest guest
Dear Tina,Thank you so very much for this great effort. How could I not support a "Run for " when my own is 24 with PSC ?I just returned home from NY because he was in New York Presbyterian Hospital and has a bad case of mono.I'm sorry my donation couldn't be more but I am also doing the Partners Virtual Walk at the same time to raise money for a treatment and a cure.I would encourage everyone to take some time to support Tina and any of the walkers doing the Virtual Walk to help make a difference. We can do it!!We can all help.LeeRun for & PSC Partners Seeking a Cure -www.firstgiving.org/runforbilly.
