Guest guest
Recent blood work revealed my creatine clearance has gone up, as has my protein level. The creatine had been in the 1.6 - 1.8 range, and is now 2.0. My urine has been dark, or cloudy, and my urine analysis showed a few other abnormalities, including blood in the urine after a repeat analysis performed today. There was no blood a few weeks ago when they did an analysis in conjunction with my lab work. For you old timers, like me, have you ever had blood in your urine? I can't really get a good feel for this with reading articles on the web. Thanks! Guest guest
Dave, do you have any pain at all? If any pain is involved, it could be kidney stones, which can cause blood in the urine, some times the blood comes before the pain! If you do experience pain from kidney stones, you will never forget! Kidney questions Recent blood work revealed my creatine clearance has gone up, as has my protein level. Guest guest
Well, I used the term " old timers " somewhat loosely. If you don't consider yourself one, born in '56, then I supposed I shouldn't either, since I was born in '55! Wish the red tint could be blamed on red beer, or tomato juice, but alas, it can't be. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. Guest guest
No pain. Are kidney stones more treatable than good old kidney disease brought on by having diabetes for about 46 years? If so, I'll go grab a hammer and start beating my kidneys to cause some pain. Guest guest
kidmey stones are much easier to treat, because all you do is drink loads of water, and pee them out, ouch! Guest guest
I'm anxious to get more answers. It so happens, my annual physical exam is tomorrow (Friday), and I will also be seeing a nephrologist on the 19th, and now I need to make an appointment with a Urologist. Oh, what fun! Thanks, Sugar, and anyone else, for your prayers. Guest guest
they who are older, tell me age is only in the head. well the truth is depending on the day, tells a lot about how old I feel. my grandpa said one time when I was a kid that he felt like he was twenty again. at the time of his life when he told me this he had to have been in his 60's which at the time I thought was older then dirt and he was out of his mind to think such a silly thing. now that I'm closing in on the 60's, I'm still hoping and Praying that I too will some times have the feeling of being in my twenty's. I just hope the feeling of no hurts won't cause me to much stress! It's kind of funny how when we are young we don't believe age will ever be able to slow us down, nor do we think of the day when our bodies will feel old. then age does catch up and we are then thinking how exactly did the younger day's make us feel with no hurts and panes? getting harder to recall the good old day's and how it felt to not have a concern other then the next party after working all day and how big the steak was going to be that you was having for dinner. maybe I really am old and just haven't got my teeth in it yet? I mean if I'm only one year behind you and you aren't going to stop and allow me to catch up, then I must face the fact that I too may be getting older by the day. A buddy told me if you got more years behind you then left in front of you, then this spells old age. now how would any of us know this if only God knows how long we got? I could still have 55 years left to live and you may as well. so relax and kick back my friend! the next 55 years of your life will be the best! _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Bond Sent: Wednesday, October 03, 2012 8:52 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: RE: Kidney questions Well, I used the term " old timers " somewhat loosely.
