Guest guest
Hi and others: Glad to see you posting - you and Fred were diagnosed around the same time and he, like you, is still seeing Dr. Gitlin. So far so good with him, especially since being diagnosed with UC a year ago and being put on Asacol. He's been better than he's been in a long time. And one great side benefit - the Asacol acts like an anti-flatulant! ( " Anti-flatulant " is a quasi-medical team meaning " fart preventative. " ) The only down side to that is that since we know it ain't him . . . Change of subject: Sorry to read your posts about cholangitis attacks. Hope you've stayed out of the hospital for awhile. Somewhat possibly related to PSC: Fred's 85 year old dad just passed away from a massive brain hemorrhage, and when visiting family, our nephew stated he'd done genealogy research on the " Hussey " name and found that the Hussey ancestry was from Ireland - on that note Happy St. 's Day to all! And prior to that, Scandinavia. To our researchers on the board: Isn't Scandinavia supposed to have the highest per capita rate of PSC? I found that interesting. Someday we'll have to meet up Chris! Wife of half-Irish, half-Croatian Fred, PSC 03/04, UC 03/06, NF (no flatulence) 04/06 > glad you found this site. I was diagnosed in 2004 after elevated liver > tests, like you. Guest guest
Scandinavia is indeed the area where PSC has its highest incidence. I also have Swedish blood in my ancestry. Chaim Boermeester, Israel ,_._,___
