Guest guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 Answers for why and how Edens contracted primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), a disease whose advanced stages cause the destruction of bile ducts in the liver, remain elusive. This isn’t supposed to be happening Edens, a rangy baseball player from East Newton High School. PSC is supposed to prey on adults, and the average age of diagnosis is 40, according to the Mayo Clinic. It is also supposed to work slowly and steadily, requiring years to reach its advanced stages. Edens was diagnosed with PSC less than three months ago.
