Guest guest
Hi! I haven't posted for a long time. I've had PSC for more than 11 years with nothing but some urq pain and elevated numbers. Recently I took Celebrex for an unrelated inflamation. Two doctors said ok and I saw that members of the psc group take it so I did even though I am alergic to sulfa (the docs said a different kind of sulfa molecule). Big mistake, major liver attack with incredible itching and very dark urine. They did a CT scan and then an ERCP Tuesday and no blockage, but so far I am still in trouble. Hopefully the celebrex will work its way through. Be very cautious on prescriptions. I sure wish I had said no. Until now I've avoided every kind of NSAID. Guest guest
In the UK celebrex has been banned for over a year because of some people having sudden heart attacks with fatal out come. i thought it had been withdrawn in the US too. I hadden't heard of it causing liver complications but then any drug can in theory can cause liver problems. Hope you are soon better.
