Guest guest
Thank you all again for your prayers and support. My WBC came back up from 2.8 to 3.7; but the doctor's nurse practioner just visited me and told me I would still get just 1/2 a dose today so hopefully they then can give me a full dose on Wed. & Thur. Also, she said the plan now is to get my dosage early enough on Thur. so I can go home on Thur. afternoon. That will be day 10 here and going home sure sounds good. My meal menu has gotten quite boring, but I've learned what to order since I had 10 days here Aug 07 after my transplant, 10 days in Nov. after my lung collapse and the rejection still showed, and now 10 days more for the Grade 2 Rejection that showed up. I even know my way around. I still ride my walker down Professional Ave. which is a big long hallway. Sun. when Jeff came over to see me and brought me a few things I requested we went down to the gift shop and I bought a glass pumpkin which I will put an electric (battery operated) tea light in it for my Haloween decoration. Since I was going to be gone 7 days we went ahead and had our driveways sealed & they did that last Wed. so that odor should be gone by the time I get home. Peggy or somebody would you please give me a phone call on my cell # which is in the database and let me know about Joyce Dalton. I've seen some of the messages but not sure what has happened or how she is doing. I pray she will recover from whatever is attacking her now. I can't stay on the computer very long as I need to go order my lunch and get back to my room so as soon as I finish my lunch they can hook up my Thymoglobulin iV (which takes 6 hours) and today I hope to be able to take a nap. I didn't yesterday and thought I'd get to sleep earlier at night, but didn't so only got 5 hours of sleep last night. I had been getting 8 hours total even though I get wakened up for various things. Somehow the way my meds are listed some of the nurses were waking me at 2 a.m. to take my Oxicodone and Xanas. Other nurse didn't do that if I was sound asleep so I appreciated that. I don't usually take them at 2 a.m. and sometimes don't even take them at 6 a.m.. But as most of you probably know each nurse may deal with you differently. Still this place is a wonderful hospital and a wonderful staff. Please remember to fly your American Flag on Thur. 9/11.
