Funny you should pose this question. My 24 year old son has the PSC and from the time he was little he over reacted to insect bites.Once when he was about 7, he stepped out of the car at Cape Hatteras, was immediately bit by a mosquito and we had to go to the Dr.because it swelled up to the size of a hard ball. I thought maybe something more harmful than a mosquito might have been the culprit but it was just a mosquito. My son wasn't diagnosed with PSC until he was 21.LeeJust wondering if anyone else with PSC experiences welts, extremeitching from mosquito/fly/flea bites.Just an inquiry folks. Thanks Jay

No, but my mother has extremely sensitive skin, and gets terrible welts from any bug bites (she does not have PSC). I inherited some of her sensitivities (I'm a fan of hypoallergenic anything - like deodorant, lotion, soap, etc.). I've been that way for at least 35 years.

I have PSC, but bug bites don't tend to irritate me much. My brother on

the other hand doesn't have PSC and does react very strongly to bug

bites. Just a mosquito bite will cause a large welt on him, but not

much on me.
