Guest guest
My husband had transplant two years ago and his MELD was 22. He was on the list for 8 days in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tina Re: PELD/MELD score at tx > ... what your score was when you (or your loved one) got transplanted.> I was transplanted in the pre MELD era (1998) but blood work prior totx would have given me a MELD score of 18. I now have a score of 20 and in Michigan tx for my blood type (A) arebeing done above about 22. Those that have MELDs of 25+ are usuallytransplanted within a week. For MI, type A the average wait time oncemeld is above 18 has been 40 days over the last year and a half. Forthose currently waiting the average time is 70 days.
