I got a call from the Lung Transplant Program at Brigham and Women's in Boston this afternoon. After reviewing my file, they are scheduling me for the in-patient evaluation, which is the final piece of the evaluation process. Two days of testing, to include a cardiac catheterization. After that, if all goes well, I will just need to lose an additional 25 pounds in order to be listed. This comes on the 1 year anniversary of my initial diagnosis - actually yesterday, also my godson's first birthday! Carolyn,

Excited yes, but I've also experienced some increased anxiety since I

got the call. My wife says that it is certainly normal to have some

anxiety at the prospects post-evaluation. I'll admit that until know

it's been fairly easy to maintain my normal " laid back " attitude, but

now I have to start thinking a little harder about the future and

what it might bring.

I think anxiety would be a perfectly normal reaction. I can't even imagine what I would do when it comes to that point. I hope I get the chance to find out! I am so proud for you!!CaroASTHMA 1976,OSTEOARTHRITIS 2002, COPD 02/06, IPF 08/07, UIP 01/08, RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS 03/08 SJOGREN SYNDROME 07/08Mississippi
