Guest guest
Hello Everyone!! Just wondering if anyone has had any problems taking Imuran, specifically with breaking out in a rash or with hives? My husband started the med two weeks ago and two days ago began itching beyond his " normal " . He then had little bumps which then spread to look like huge mosquito bites. He was going CRAZY. The palms of his hands, the bottom of his feet, his legs, his waistband area and arms were very bad. I talked to his pharmacist and he believed he was having an allergic reaction to the med but his Dr. insisted that it was NOT the med. Imuran has been working great for 's Crohn's and his Dr. wants him to remain on the med and hates to think it won't happen. He took him off of it yesterday and put him on a medrol-pack and he is MUCH better. Just looking to see what others may have faced on Imuran. Thanks in advance. I finally put my foot down and told him we are stopping the med immediately and he better give something to get him through this. I thought my husband was going to go crazy. Today he is MUCH better. The Imuran helped with his Crohn's but he can't go through this. We'll see what happens next...... - Husband; - Crohn's, 88 & PSC 06/05 .
