Guest guest
Well when he shoots game he brings it home. Over at his shed (that we can't see from the porch) he has asystem to hang and clean whatever it is. We have some great venison stew, Back strap steaks. pork roasts.yummers. Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Peggy,I posted a message last evening but I guess the space monkeys got it instead. I am resting today and washing my clothes, dishes, etc. and squirting Max so he will quit barking at the landscape people outside. (Tuesday is their day here at Rosewood). I am glad that we heard from Brett. Even Leanne posted a little bit today. Our handbell group is already learning Christmas music. We have some that is very hard and the only way to play it is to memorize it. The rest of the group will march in playing and I will already be in the choir loft. I sure do wish that I could march in and play my bells. What does do with what he finds and kills when he hunts?Eddie is scared that his plant may have some lay-offs. His department is really the last one to have this happen and Eddie is right in the middle of senority of all the drivers. So he is not at the bottom and a little closer to the top but not completely. But he is the only driver who also works in their department at the plant when he is not driving. Take care today, Peggy! Guest guest
Peggy He shoots Bambi's family? Oh my.....I could never do that. Now, eat it....maybe. I eat cow and pig and bird all the time but if I had to shoot or kill for my food I'd starve to death I guess. > > > Peggy, > > I posted a message last evening but I guess the space monkeys got it > instead. Guest guest
Funny that you would say Bambi's family!! When my oldest son who is now 31 was only 5, I took him to the movies to see Bambi for the first time. He cried his little heart out when Bambi's mother got killed. We went home and he told his dad and his dad said, Yeah, I shot her!!CaroASTHMA 1976,OSTEOARTHRITIS 2002, COPD 02/06, IPF 08/07, UIP 01/08, RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS 03/08 SJOGREN SYNDROME 07/08Mississippi Subject: Re: Peggy / JaneTo: Breathe-Support Date: Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 11:37 AM PeggyHe shoots Bambi's family? Guest guest
Carolyn I would cry if I saw that now. I have nothing at all against hunters, but its just not something I could do. I see animals even in animated movies and they get lost and I get worried or they are in danger and even knowing the outcome will be fine, I still get worried. I had to switch channels or turn tv off during the hurricane news when they'd talk about the animals left behind. > > > > > > Peggy, > > > > I posted a message last evening but I guess the space monkeys got it > > instead. Guest guest
hey y'all........... When I was about 8 or 9, we were living in Short Hills NJ at the time and I went to see Bambi at the movies with some friends and their parents, when Bambi was hollering for his 'MOTHER - MOTHER - MOTHER' I knew I had heard a shot, and my heart leaped from my chest onto the floor, (that was my first movie ever) and I cried so hard, the lump in my throat would not heal for a very long time. When my 2 children saw the movie, I was with them at the same time and they reacted the same way. Couldn't help it. I used to go hunting with my Dad when I was a teen in SD, but that was pheasant hunting and lots of fishing. I think deer are one of the most gracious and beautiful animals we have. Earl still pretty sick with fever, cough, sore throat and achy. 3 days now, missed 2 days of work so far. I talked to my pulmo about it the other day. I am prepared with the tri-pak. I LOVE YOU THIS DAY MARY LOU IPF - 02 > > > > > > > > > Peggy, > > > > > > I posted a message last evening but I guess the space monkeys got it > > > instead. Guest guest
I still cry, too, when I watch Bambi!! I thought that was pretty mean of his dad to say that to him, but as you can probably guess, we are divorced now!! He still deer hunts, last I heard. I don't think I could shoot any animal. Guess that is just me, though.CaroASTHMA 1976,OSTEOARTHRITIS 2002, COPD 02/06, IPF 08/07, UIP 01/08, RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS 03/08 SJOGREN SYNDROME 07/08Mississippi Subject: Re: Peggy / JaneTo: Breathe-Support Date: Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 3:07 PM hey y'all....... ....When I was about 8 or 9, we were living in Short Hills NJ at the time and I went to see Bambi at the movies with some friends and their parents, when Bambi was hollering for his 'MOTHER - MOTHER - MOTHER' I knew I had heard a shot, and my heart leaped from my chest onto the floor, (that was my first movie ever) and I cried so hard, the lump in my throat would not heal for a very long time. When my 2 children saw the movie, I was with them at the same time and they reacted the same way.
