Guest guest
I haven't had a chance to read or post since returning from the conference (until now). We're readying for a consult at Stanford tomorrow, so I'm online getting directions from mapquest and finding " fun things to do with a kid " in Palo Alto for after the appointment --so I took a moment to pop in. Even though I've probably missed the " it was a great conference " posts, I have to say --It was a great conference! For anyone who is wondering whether or not to attend next year... I vote that you go -- you won't regret it. My husband and I were both revitalized. We learned a great deal (still going over some of it), got some desired referrals, met truly wonderful people (new friends), and had an enormously positive experience. And, to Ricky and all those involved in any way in helping to put the conference on.. thank you so much. It was beneficial in many different ways. Russ is even more involved now, thanks to the conference, and that is one of the more significant benefits --thank you. I wish we'd had more to offer. Being " green " , we weren't exactly helpful, but we'll work on that for next year. We are very grateful to everyone for all the kindness and knowledge shared with us. Thank you. --Meghan, mom to Wyatt (12yo: UC & PSC 1/07: FAP 8/01) P.S. --Russ and I are feeling so much better since the conference that we're cutting back our 'stress' counseling from weekly to every other week. We're in your debt for lessening our stress level --it really helps (all 3 of us). We were even laughing in our counseling appointment right after we returned --I actually laughed so hard that I snorted through my nose... very embarassing, but not stressful. )
