Guest guest
I know this is a rather personal question to ask, but it is something we are encountering. Has anyone been diagnosed with Anal papilla? Last year my husband was experiencing horrible hemroids. (he couldn't walk or sit when they were at their worst) He went to a few doctors concerning them and was told they needed treatment- possibly banding. So we scheduled it. When the doctor went in to band them he found anal papilla attached to his hemroids. Ouch! He suggested having the papilla removed surgically. So we went and met with a general surgeon. They said because my husband has Indeterminate Colitis they won't opperate on his anus because there is a chance that he really has crohn's, and if he has crohn's, there is a major chance that the incisions/lacerations will never heal. So, I am curious has anyone on the list with UC/IC/Crohn's experienced hemroids like this before- and if so what kind of treatment were you offered (and did it help)? Does anyone have the anal papilla- and if so treatment? Success? etc. The heroids calm down eventually, but he will have weeks of horrible pain. We are hoping to find a more long term solution to both issues (heroids and the papilla). Thanks for your time, Jeannie and Nick in Cinti, OH
