Guest guest
Has anyone seen the latest from Sheryl Crow? If you need a laugh, this will do it for ya. In her new job as self proclaimed global warming educator/alarmist (I’m not getting into politics, just giving a little background)…..she said……. " I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting…..Only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required " . Don’t know about y’all, but 1–3 squares of TP just ain’t going to cut it. Clearly the woman has never had colitis! Who would she suggest police this use of TP? I can hear it now – you use 5 squares and all of a sudden the music starts playing in your bathroom - bad boy, bad boy, whatcha going to do when they come for you? This wasn’t enough for the singer/alarmist……next she proclaimed that paper napkins “represent the height of wastefulness " . Instead she says we should all buy her clothing line with what she calls a " dining sleeve " . The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another " dining sleeve " after the diner has used it to wipe his or her mouth. I wondered why she and Lance Armstrong stopped dating…...maybe he used too much TP! Barb in Texas
Guest guest
Is she talking 1 ply or 2 ply. I would definitely be over my ration of tp! When H'll freezes over will I be contained to 1 square. Guest guest
She is doing much much better. She was so drugged up after her surgery, but she is getting her spunk back. I was off work yesterday and I went outside to sit on the deck and soak up the sunshine (rarity in Michigan), and she came up on my lap, laying on her back, belly up and sunned with me. Then, when it was time to come in, she kept going to the door because she wanted to go back out. We have 5 more weeks of the cast. I started on Zoloft 2 weeks ago and it is finally taking a hold, so it has reduced my itching....not completely, but definitely more tolerable! We got Ken a new digital camera for his Bday – needless to say, I have received more pictures of his 3 dogs than even I thought was possible. He even sends them to me in Yahoo IM! Swimming, digging, sleeping, you name it. The good thing is, now he wants to document his transplant! Glad to hear the Zoloft is working, I know any help is better than none. Any idea of where you are on the list? Barb in Texas
Guest guest
What a hoot!!! Normally one piece of TP? Get out of here. I have a washlet/bidet at home which cuts down on the amount of TP. But not that much. Maybe we should use cloth TP & wash it. But then how much energy do we use in washing & drying it? Is it more that the resources used in paper TP? But I did just buy a hybrid car, so I am all for being environmentally conscious. The reports on the environment that the LA Times has been printing are pretty alarming. -Marie Don’t quit your job – Take Classes Online and Earn your Degree in 1 year. Start Today! Guest guest
What an idiot that woman must be!!!! One square!! I read this to my hubby and to my 83 year old Mom who lives with us. Mom said that when she was a little girl and would go visit her grandparents, they used pages from the previous year's Sears catalog (which was hung from a wire hook in the privy just for that purpose!). Since that would definitely be environmentally conscious, I think we need to send Ms. Crow a few old Sears catalogs for her own personal use. Guest guest
toilet paper- when i was in russia in 1991 i stayed at a private residence and there were little squares of newspaper hanging from a paperclip in the restroom for wiping. but since we were special guests they were able to secure a very tiny roll of rough toilet paper. we used it very sparingly.See what's free at AOL.com.
