I have not been on for a while. So i like the idea of giving a recap of

our conditions,but first, I started posting when living in Ind. moved

to houston first of July, and first grandchild born 8/11.Stayed thru

Ike and that was an experience,glad I did, wouldn't do it again. Okay

now about me and this monster. I ignored all the symptoms until I just

couldn't function anymore,Dr.did CatScan, then a week later did open

lung biopsy.Half my lungs were allready gone.I don't know how long I

have had it can date the clubbing back to 2001,had biopsy in10/04.My

Dad died of this in 1991 and my older sister had been misdiagnosed with

copd so in Dec/04 they did biopsy to confirm she has this too.AS of

right now I have gone 36 hrs without a cigerette and plan to beat this

addiction. It has been hard. I don't believe it caused this but do

recognise it is shortening my odds. All 3 of my family members have had

different experiences, so I don't even think about where it came from

or what the future holds.I am just glad as of today I can still

drive,function relatively normal as long as I take o2 where ever I go.
