Guest guest
I was diagnosed with PSC on Friday Dec 29th, 2006. On the day I was diganosed, I had a stent placed and promptly developed pancreatitis. I was in the hospital for 6 days. The stent was replaced on 2/19/07 and I went home after the procedure. At home, I developed symptoms of pancreatitis again and went back to the hospital for another 2 days. A liver biopsy was done on 2/14/07, with staging between 0 and 1. I am currently taking Urso, and went back to the gastro doctor this week. I was originally led to believe that after the second stent placement, it would be taken out and not replaced. After the last consultation, my doctor is saying the stents will be replaced every 4 months, for the foreseeable future. I would like to get a second opinion, but am unsure what my next step should be. Is the Mayo clinic someplace I should pursue, or is there another hospital/group I should consult? This has been a bit overwhelming. Thanks in advance for any advice. Tony Winkler
Guest guest
They do a very good job at the Mayo Clinic and getting a second opinion from them is a great idea. > > I was diagnosed with PSC on Friday Dec 29th, 2006.
