Guest guest
> MizKit, Maureen, Barb and others: > Bob called Convatec and got the booklet also, thanks. He has started the dreaded pred. and it will take 6 weeks of trial to see if it is working. The dr. diagnosis was what the ostomy nurse said it was, pyoderma gangrenosum. Cipro is also being taken by Bob. With Andi's and our past experience we call it dreaded becaused of the terrible side effects . He is still working and one of the things the dr. said was they think it is related to immuno-diseases. It is very often found in people 40-60 yo mostly in the legs and can also be in the eyes. If I remember Ruth said had something in the eyes ;can't remember the name but it does mention it on the site that Barb sent me and on Mayo's site. It also took note that vitamin deficiencies are often present because of absorption problems. Thank you to all of you who answered my distress call and I will keep you posted. Just keep a mental note of the ulcer situation it can happen to people who are immuno-depressed. Does this make sense to anyone?
