Guest guest
I just checked in because I have a post to pass on from Joyce's husband Lucian. I will type it up separately so that it is completely his. He said that he told Peggy and Leanne he wanted to post something and apologized that it took so long. I told him that I had posted of our conversations and about the memorial service and let people know the things he seemed like he needed all of us to know. I am so glad to read that people did feel they were a part of Joyce's memorial by reading about it from Leanne and I. You all were absolutely there in spirit, word, heart and support! Beth rightly stated Joyce Dalton will live on not only in all our hearts, but even future members have her strength, knowledge, humor at their fingertips by a simple search of our messages here. When I signed on I read about Lentz passing on. Another, incredible woman who's strength is immeasureable... truly happy am I to have known her here. Before I sign off I'll tell you that I did finally hear back from my transplant team that I am currently #5 on the list for my bloodtype (at initial listing 6 months ago I was #2 so some folks have gotten sicker faster because I am on the downhill slide or others that were sicker have gotten listed). It will all work out when it's supposed to. I'll make sure to let you all know when I get the call. Since I can't seem to find the time to be online lately, I hope that kinda answers your question Judy. Peggy, yes, that sunflower picture was from my garden. May, congrats on Eli... sounds wonderful. , thanks for sharing the taste of Tassie. Oh, and Geeta, I got a faux henna tattoo (I know those 3 words don't go together, but you know what I mean) at the international fair at our church. I stopped at the tent for India, and picked one of a butterfly and had it applied thinking of you and Joyce. My best to you all, Kerry 38 IPF '01 S. Guest guest
Kerry You're a very special woman and although miss you online, glad you have so much going on in your life that keeps you busy and not sitting idly by your computer. I know in some ways seeing yourself move from 2 to 5 was disappointing but think of it as maybe 2 was too soon (no pun intended) and your current lungs still have mileage to carry you longer. Enjoy every moment you can with them. I think you're right that it will work out when its suppose to-not too late, not too soon. Having just observed you the little I can from here, I do believe you'll be a great transplant patient at that time. You have the strength and determination and you're keeping yourself active and going. Funny you mentioned the faux henna tattoo. They seem to be the rage as I've seen them several places recently. In fact, I think there's even a place at the State Fair. They are beautiful and, I'm sure for you, just a fun different thing to do. > > I just checked in because I have a post to pass on from Joyce's > husband Lucian. Guest guest
Kerry, Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to post Lucien's message to the board. It means so much to all of us to hear his words. I miss Joyce so and I still find myself looking for her posts before realizing..... It sounds like you are doing well and I'm glad. Please do let us know when the call finally comes. I think of you all the time and pray that everything goes smoothly for you. Keep looking after yourself!
