Guest guest
I am writing for my son-in-law Steve again. He was put on the list yesterday, but they are talking a live donor transplant from his younger brother. Has anyone had a live donor transplant, and has there been any major problems for the donor? I would really appreciate you responses. Thanks so much. Polly

Guest guest
Polly, You must be the world's best mother-in-law!!! I've seen spouses, parents & siblings post here before, but never an in-law. My family unfortunately doesn't want to know more than is absolutely necessary to know. But they will go with me to doctor's visits and tests, if need be. We're also dealing with my 81 yr old mother who is in assisted living now, with round the clock caregivers. She has alzheimer's and a huge host of medical problems including broken vertebrae from osteoporosis, which she got from the prednisone, which she takes for the rheumatoid arthritis. You can bet I take my calcium & Fosamax. Anyway, there have been a number of people here who have successfully have live donor transplants. For the record, I think you're awesome. -Marie >I am writing for my son-in-law Steve again. He was put on the list >yesterday, but they are talking a live donor transplant from his >younger brother.
